Veda Catering | How it works

Online Ordering: Orders can be placed by phone, in person, or online on our website. All orders will be reviewed directly by one of our catering managers, so the best and fastest way to order is using our online menu or by sending an email. During regular business hours, our catering managers will receive your order and respond in the same day, often within the hour. By calling or visiting our locations, you will not likely be able to speak directly with a catering manager, so a message will be left and they will call you back upon their return. This may take longer than ordering online or by email as these messages will be delivered immediately and our catering managers can respond faster even if they are involved in other catering events at the time. Catering managers will also be able to reply with menu suggestions, answers to questions, or any general/specific inquiries. Please note that our takeout staff are not all trained within our catering department so they may not have the answers you need.

Order Confirmations: Once an order is placed, whether online, by phone, or in person, our catering managers will prepare a customized written quote for your review. If you are not clear on what you're looking for, need menu suggestions, portion sizing, or general help, please note that in the email or online order. Please do not worry about placing the online order with your delivery details because you will always be able to review and approve your quote, as well as make changes. YOUR ORDER WILL NOT BE PLACED UNTIL YOU CONFIRM OUR WRITTEN QUOTE. You can also modify/change/cancel your order once confirmed as per our policies below. It is best to confirm a catering order as soon as possible, which allows us to hold the delivery date/time for you. We know things change in your plans, so changes can still be made after you confirm.

Veda Catering | Our Policies

Delivery Fee: Veda charges a minimum $10.00 surcharge to all orders, and a minimum $15.00 surcharge where a return pickup is required. Delivery includes setting up the food on your tables in the room to indicate.

Pickup: A pickup time is required whenever pickup is needed. We will book pickup times within a time range. Client must make room accessible during those times to avoid a return surcharge if items are not accessible. Some evening deliveries after 6PM may be picked up the next morning before 10am.

Last Minute Orders: We welcome last minute orders even up to 2 hours before your event. Please note that some items on our menu require 24-48 notice to receive ingredients from our suppliers, so we will do the best to accommodate last minute requests. There is no surcharge for last minute orders.

Cancellation Fee: If an order is cancelled less than 24 hours prior to service, there will be a penalty of 50% - 100% of the total. Items that can be used for other orders will be subject to a 50% cancellation fee, while special order items will be subject to the full 100% fee.

Linens and Rentals: We will supply linen, upon request, at no charge for the food service table only. Additional linens are available for rent (subject to availability) at the fees listed on our Catering Menu tab. Rentals of linens, china, cutlery, tables, and other items are also available (subject to availability). There may be additional charges for delivery/pickup of rental items. Rental item require a minimum of 48 hours notice. There will be fees assessed by the rental company for any missing, lost, damaged, or stolen items and these fees are the sole responsibility of the client.

Sustainable Biodegradable: All plates used by Veda are compostable made with Sugarcane. There is no additional charge for this. All cutlery, packaging, and other items are recyclable and always included at no charge with your order. For a completely compostable package, there will be a fee depending on the items chosen - sold to our customers at our cost. These items are subject to availability, and minimum quantities may apply for special order products. A minimum of 48 hours notice may be required for most items.
